New Service for 2025 – LinkedIn Strategic Reset

As well as CV writing, I’ve been offering a LinkedIn profile writing service, and come to realise that’s not what people need. Everybody I’ve dealt with has a LinkedIn profile, but almost always it’s not aligned to their CV, so there’s more often than not a disconnect – but I can fix that.

So I’ve juggled my service offering to include a “LinkedIn Strategic Reset” for £110 for every CV Rewrite customer. You can see the full (and simplified) fee structure on the “Fee” tab.

Here are some other very common mistakes and misunderstandings that mean people go about LinkedIn cackhandedly:

• They think they need a big network, but I reckon that you only need to be at about 100 connections to be “visible enough”. It’s not as black and white as that – but connecting with thousands of idiots isn’t very helpful and will wreck your timeline.
• Some individuals will place themselves in the “United Kingdom” rather than a specific town or city, but that means they could miss out when a recruiter or hiring manager is searching for candidates with town or county filters and criteria.
• They have been told that they must be commenting and posting to be noticed, but lots of people find that very uncomfortable – and it’s not true. As long as you’re careful about keywords and phrases, you can easily be found without being too active. Knowing how recruiters work is useful – and that was my previous job.
• Some are scared what their current employers might think. There are simple ways to fix that.
• Many think that a catchy headline will draw a crowd, but the trouble with that is, it’s a useless keyword strategy.
